Happy New Year!

It was a wet... thats rain, not snow in the sky... but fun New Year's celebrated with a pretty good crowd of some other nutty folks in Akron, PA. The choice of a symbolic item to drop at midnight was a shoe, representing a now missing shoe industry (that's an enlarged view of the 6-foot shoe in the top corner). The biggest thing going on in town these days is that it's the home of Mennonite Central Committee and some other related organizations. I guess it might have been in poor taste to drop a Mennonite... so the shoe was the next logical choice, I guess.
Only problem is that we'll now be waiting all year for the other shoe to drop... as the saying goes.
